Manager, Nursing Excellence-Magnet Program FT Days

Job Summary:
The Manager, Nursing Excellence is responsible for nursing excellence initiatives, builds effective strategies for compliance and professional excellence through ongoing nursing excellence standards including but not limited to ANCC Magnet under the direction of the Director of Nursing Quality, Research Services. The Manager, Nursing Excellence serves as an organizational leader, and assumes organization wide responsibility for coordinating all aspects of the ANCC Magnet application, designation, and maintenance process. The Manager, Nurse Excellence serves as a guide, a coach, a mentor, and role model to facilitate and shape new policies and ensures compliance with all nursing excellence program requirements. The Manager, Nursing Excellence maintain training for operations initiatives and serves as a representative in committee, councils and teams promoting interdisciplinary efforts.

Job Essentials:
  • Must be a graduate of NLN accredited nursing program.
  • Must have a current New Jersey Nursing License.
  • A minimum of three years in an acute care nursing leadership or education experience required.
  • Excellent skills in the following areas: verbal and written communications; critical thinking; creativity; interpersonal relationships and team building, conflict resolution, change management, supports professional nursing practice; project management.
  • Knowledge of the Magnet Accreditation Process required.
  • Sound knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint; ability to use secondary databases; knowledge of statistical analysis.
  • Participation in pertinent professional organizations.
  • Requires limited direction for expected tasks.
  • Evidence-based practice and research and innovation experience
  • Project management experience
  • Sensitivity for and understanding of clinical disciplines and issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Work Location: On location
  • Specialty certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Education Requirements :
  • BSN required. Masters in nursing preferred.
  • CPR Certification preferred

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
Salary range: $115k-$140k
