IT Project Manager III

We're in search of an experienced IT Project Manager III to support the AMI 2.0 Technology Integration workstream for a large-scale utility modernization program. The ideal candidate will have strong project management, financial planning, and enterprise IT infrastructure experience within utility or smart grid environments.

Job Title: IT Project Manager III Location: Rosemead, CA Duration: 18 Months Status: (Hybrid)

The IT Project Manager III will lead end-to-end delivery of the Technology Integration (TI) workstream for the AMI 2.0 program. This role is responsible for managing integrated project plans, financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting, vendor coordination, and cross-functional execution across technical and business teams. The ideal candidate will combine strong PM fundamentals with financial analysis expertise and utility technology program experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of project management experience with strong financial planning and reporting responsibilities
  • Experience managing large enterprise technology initiatives with multiple workstreams and releases
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and reporting/dashboard development experience
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, large-scale programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), Smart Grid, or Utility Technology programs
  • Familiarity with system integrations including MDMS, OMS, SAP, ADMS, and head-end systems
  • PMP or CAPM certification
  • Experience presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Master's degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline
  • Knowledge of utility regulatory compliance and IT financial controls
  • Strong vendor management and IT contract negotiation experience

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $70 to $75/hour
