POSITIONย OVERVIEW:ย 

Quanta Government Solutions is seeking an Assistantย Project Manager for dedicated support to a multi-project transmission infrastructure program in the Pacific Northwest, supporting the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).ย Theย Assistant Project Manager (APM)ย supports the successful execution of assigned construction projects. Working under the direction of a Project Manager and Program Manager, the APMย assistsย with day-to-day coordination of safety, quality, cost, schedule, and compliance activities. This role partners closely with enterprise functional teamsย (Safety/Quality, Finance,ย Procurement, Cyber/IT, and Compliance)ย to ensure project controls, documentation, and reporting areย accurate,ย timely, andย audit-ready.ย ย 

What You'll Do

Whatย You'llย Do:ย ย 

  • Support the Project Manager in executing assigned projectsย fromย inceptionย through completion.ย 
  • Assistย in coordinatingย teamsย across Operations, Safety,ย Quality, Finance, andย Procurement.ย 
  • Participate in required project meetings, action tracking, and documentation preparation.ย 
  • Support stage-gate reviews by compiling required artifacts andย maintainingย auditable project records.ย 
  • Assistย with coordination and communication between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and partners.ย 
  • Support preparation of client-facing materials and meeting agendas under Project Manager guidance.ย 
  • Track subcontractor deliverables, RFIs, and submittals to ensureย timelyย responses and approvals.ย 
  • Support monthly forecasting, cost tracking, trend logs, and variance analysis.ย 
  • Help ensure cost documentation is complete,ย accurate, and compliant with audit requirements.ย 
  • Identifyย potential schedule risks or variances and escalate to the Project Manager for mitigation planning.ย 
  • Support compliance withย BPI, CUI protection, and ISO 9001 quality requirements.ย 
  • Assistย withย maintainingย site-specific plans including APP/JHAs, Environmental Plans, andย Quality Control Plans.ย 
  • Helpย maintainย project risk and opportunity logs, track action items, and support closeout activities.ย 
  • Assistย in preparing weekly progress reports, three-week look-ahead schedules, risk logs, and cost/scheduleย metrics.ย 
  • Ensure all project documentation, correspondence, and reports are uploaded andย maintainedย inย QGS and BPA platformsย with proper version control.ย 
  • Actively develop project management competencies with the goal of progressing into a Project Manager role.ย 
  • Participate in training, certifications, and mentoring opportunities supported by QGS.ย

Certificationsย
