  • Manage the execution of projects by providing leadership, communication, coordination and conflict resolution to ensure project goals are met.
  • Manage projects from initiation through design, bidding & award, construction and closeout phases.
  • Lead meetings with owners, architects and contractors and provide leadership in client relations.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and procurement of design and construction services. Drive consultant performance to achieve project objectives, recommend corrective actions to recover schedule or performance drift, facilitate timely decisions by campus representatives, and communicate project progress and issues to stakeholders.
  • Ensure design and construction documents comply with project requirements. Facilitate timely review of contract documents by Owner at Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document phases of the work.
  • Review and approve design and construction contracts, changes, professional and technical service contracts, Guaranteed Maximum Price submittals, bid documents, pay applications, etc.
  • During construction, direct and/or provide support to Resident Construction Manager, Senior Construction Inspectors, Construction Inspectors, and institution staff in management of construction activities and processes.
  • Apply project control processes to track progress, ensure consistency, mitigate risks; and maintain compliance.
  • Serve as the primary project liaison with campus staff, facility user groups, operations and administration during design and contract administration to ensure timely input, manage expectations, resolve conflicts and facilitate decision making.
