Job Description: ย 

  • Develop and execute annual sales plans for national grocery and big-box accounts, aligning with brand and customer strategies.ย 

  • Drive new business development in addition to managing existing accounts.ย 

  • Lead P&L, trade promotion, merchandising strategies, and distributor relationships.ย 

  • Build and maintain consultative relationships withย Key Decision Makers (KDMs)ย and partners.ย 

  • Develop and execute detailed action plans to achieve sales goals for all national accounts.ย 

  • Ensure successful product launches, placement of new SKUs, and ongoing promotional strategies.ย 

  • Monitor market trends, analyze competitive activity, and adjust strategies accordingly.ย 

  • Manage brokers, establish KPIs, and lead quarterly performance meetings.ย 

  • Leverage SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, or other retail data for insight-driven decision making.ย 

  • Provide accurate forecasting, demand planning, and reporting on sales initiatives.ย 

  • Maintain deep knowledge of retail priorities, shopper behavior, and merchandising fundamentals.ย 

  • Travel 25โ€“50% for client visits, trade shows, and industry events.ย

Experience & Qualificationsย 
ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Masterโ€™s preferred).ย 

  • 5โ€“10+ years of sales experience withย national grocery or big-box retailers, including managing and launching consumer-packaged food products.ย 

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and KPIs.ย 

  • Multi-category experience, ideally including Meats, Prepared Meals, or Fresh Food products.ย 

  • Strong analytical, strategic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.ย 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.ย 

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.ย 

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to lead projects independently.ย

Must-Have Skillsย 

  • Strongย food industry experienceย (non-negotiable).ย
