Gonzalez Construction, LLC., a division of Hylan, is a full-service, design-build contractor specializing in broadband, communications, and intelligent transport systems (ITS), distributed antenna systems (DAS), fiber optic network platforms, and wireless solutions. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Gonzalez Construction, LLC. serves public and private companies, general contractors, renewable energy developers, and governmental agencies in the Northwest and Southwest regions, with operations in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah.


Gonzalez Construction, LLC. invites you to consider a rewarding opportunity within our Phoenix AZ office as a Project Manager– Telecommunications within the OSP Construction Department working to accomplish company goals.


Positon Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for multiple projects, acting as a liaison between Gonzalez Construction, LLC customers and regulatory agencies from initial project award to completion while promoting new business and facilitating project completion. You will be demonstrating core program management competencies, including communication, time management, and high-volume project coordination. You must meet a level of company of creating services and communicating any resource requirements effectively with all Vertical Limit departments and customer-focused services while reinforcing the company’s high standards and reputation of being a leader in the industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and coordinate customer requirements, project design, and key dates for phases of project
  • Conduct bid/project preconstruction walks and prepare construction readiness
  • Coordinate sub-contractor resources for both construction and restoration
  • Identify all change order items and continuously update customers on progress of projects
  • In a collaboration effort with the Project Administrator collect and review closeout documentation (redline as-builds, pass-through documents, production reports)
  • Read, comprehend and interpret site plans, construction drawings and scopes of work
  • Follow and create Quality Assurance and Quality Control measures
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, and inspections
  • Manage expenses and production to achieve maximum profitability goals
  • Participate in weekly Project Manager Meetings
  • Schedule and coordinate crew and crew members for multiple project settings

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of working experience in projects and/or related to underground and aerial infrastructure construction and project management
  • Self-starter & team player who pays strict attention to detail and organization effectively interfacing with all levels of management, staff, and customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
  • Proficient with excel and word programs, strong written/verbal communication skills are critical 
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information is critical
