Who Are We:

Sceye is a high-growth technology company, building the next generation of instant communications, imaging and remote sensing infrastructure through stratospheric platforms.

Our lighter-than-air high-altitude platform systems (LTA HAPS) are capable of maintaining position over an operational area in the stratosphere (altitudes of 18 – 21km). They can carry multiple telecommunications, imaging and remote sensing payloads, providing unique functionality, cost, environmental and societal advantages.

Our HAPS be deployed in a matter of days and at a fraction of the cost of traditional infrastructure solutions. Our customers & partners include some of the largest global telecommunications companies, infrastructure operators, climate researchers, civil and defense agencies.

At Sceye, we aim high, and we want you to join us at the stratospheric edge of innovation. We are looking for individuals who bring not only deep expertise but also bold vision and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in executing complex aerospace and technology programs. This role sits within the Program Management Office (PMO) and focuses on planning, coordination, schedule execution, risk/issue management, and supporting milestone readiness for projects across avionics, payload, ground systems, structures, testing, and mission operations.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented PM who thrives in ambiguity, drives accountability without friction, and can operate in a fast-paced hardware/software development environment. They don’t just track tasks — they lead projects forward, anticipate challenges, and ensure progress happens.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive Execution
  • Own the project plan and schedule, ensuring visibility of dependencies and critical path.
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions, drive decisions, and follow through on actions.
  • Anticipate risks, remove roadblocks, and escalate early when needed.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and mission teams.
  • Break down complex technical goals into actionable work, clear owners, and deadlines.
  • Influence without authority — build alignment through clarity and communication.
  • Project Controls & Milestones
  • Manage RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) and status reporting.
  • Ensure milestone readiness (SRR, PDR, CDR, FWR, FLO), coordinating required artifacts.
  • Maintain strong documentation and requirements traceability in Confluence/Jira.
  • Improve PMO Processes
  • Create and evolve templates, reporting, dashboards, and standard operating rhythms.
  • Support continuous improvement and help mature project management practices across Sceye.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong desire to learn from System SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) across vehicle design, software, power systems, and RF (radio frequency) links
  • Ability to distill complex technical discussions into clear, actionable tasks for the Mission Operations team
  • Experience with or a high aptitude for learning Google Earth
  • Willingness to take ownership and drive continuous improvements
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional documentation habits
  • Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies
  • Collaborative and comfortable working across disciplines
  • Curious and driven to innovate
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities concurrently
  • Clear, effective communication across cross-functional and multi-functional teams
  • Proactive problem-solver

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex technical or operational projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and move work forward without direct authority.
  • Strong scheduling, planning, and risk management experience.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, MS Project (or equivalent tools).
  • High ownership mindset — proactive, organized, able to anticipate needs and remove roadblocks.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred:

  • PMP, Agile Certification, or other relevant project management certification.
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or high-tech environments.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and product development lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams from concept through completion.

What We Offer:

At Sceye, we’re building more than high-altitude platforms—we’re building a workplace where people (and their pups) thrive. Here’s what you’ll enjoy:
