Job description

Join Our Team as the Senior Project Manager
The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to manage the planning, designing, and construction of large-scale public infrastructure projects.
What You Will Do
  • Manages the planning, design, permitting, and construction of Town CIP projects;
  • Prepares requests for proposals and qualifications, scopes of work, and cost estimates and presents projects to various entities;
  • Prepares invitations for bid and requests for proposals and qualifications, scopes of work, and cost estimates;
  • Manages on-call contracts for professional and maintenance/construction services;
  • Provides coordination with utility companies on Town projects and utility projects;
  • Assists in the acquisition of land, easements, and rights of way;
  • Coordinates with other government agencies to facilitate resolutions regarding citizen inquiries, design decisions, project scheduling, and prioritization;
  • Assists Code Enforcement personnel by providing technical expertise or regulatory interpretations;

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, planning or closely related fields
  • Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the area of project management, construction management, engineering and/or architectural design, contract management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license
