Assistant Preconstruction/ MEP Preconstruction Manager (Entry Level)

Position Overview

The Assistant Preconstruction/MEP Preconstruction Manager plays a key role in planning and coordinating complex construction projects across the Northeast. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience working with experienced preconstruction and MEP leaders, supporting bidding, estimating, and project setup while building strong relationships with internal teams and trade partners. It's an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented, motivated individual looking to grow their career in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with document setup and control across all assigned projects, including coordination with the design team and subcontractors.
  • Make daily calls to subcontractors to confirm bid participation and assist in bid scoping.
  • Become proficient in LKCo software tools such as ISQFT, OST, Assemble, Join, Compass, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Prepare and distribute bid packages in coordination with Preconstruction Managers.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and draft scope descriptions for subcontracted trades.
  • Review Architect/Engineering documents to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and coordination.
  • Support RFP (request for proposal) and RFI (request for information) responses under direction of the Director of Preconstruction.
  • Contribute to documentation and database efforts for future project reference.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level; construction experience or relevant coursework is a plus.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management.
  • Clear and professional communicator.
  • Self-starter willing to call internal and external team members.
  • Comfortable learning new software.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000- $105,000 annually, representing the company's good-faith and reasonable estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. The final offer will be based on factors such as experience, skills, responsibilities, and current market conditions.
