Position Overview

JR & Co. is hiring local commercial roofers for a major re-roof project in Piketon, Ohio, running from late September 2026 through February/March 2027. No travel required - this is steady, full-time work close to home, straight through the winter, when most roofing crews get sent home.

What You'll Earn

Total project earnings: $32,000-$73,000 over 5 months, including wages and completion bonus. Where you land in that range depends on your experience level.


Monthly breakdown:

  • Wages: $6,000-$13,600 per month depending on experience (60-hour weeks with overtime)
  • Project completion bonus: $2,500 for crew members, $5,000 for experienced journeyman/foreman-level roofers (paid out at $500 or $1,000/month)
  • 6-day, 10-hour schedule with overtime every week
  • Weekly pay


Schedule

  • 6 days per week, 10 hours per day (20 hours of overtime weekly)
  • Late September 2026 through February/March 2027
  • Local position in Piketon, Ohio - no travel, no overnight stays. Home every night.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install commercial roofing systems safely and to JR & Co. quality standards
  • Load, stage, and handle roofing materials and equipment
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols, including fall protection at heights
  • Work as part of a tight-knit crew - show up on time, work hard, and look out for your teammates
  • Experienced journeyman/foreman: lead by example, train and mentor younger crew members, and take accountability for your crew's quality and safety


Qualifications

  • For experienced journeymen and foreman-level roofers: 3-5+ years commercial roofing experience
  • For crew members: Construction experience preferred, not required
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine desire to work and earn
  • Able to commit to the full project duration
  • Pass a background check and drug screen; meet project site access requirements
  • Reliable transportation to the Piketon, OH job site; valid driver's license preferred


Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Able to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and walk on rooftops for 10-hour shifts
