Overview

The Project Manager - Capital Projects position is an exciting opportunity to join PM Group’s quickly growing Boston area Outsourced Technical Services(OTS) team for a client in the Greater Boston area. Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) is an integral part of PM Group’s ability to support clients across the complete project life cycle. We have over 50 years’ industry experience, strong technical knowledge and integrated resources. This role will be embedded on-site and responsible for leading the planning and execution of capital projects, including facility expansions, equipment installations, and infrastructure upgrades. The Project Manager will drive projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery aligns with scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead execution of capital projects across the full project lifecycle (initiation through closeout)
  • Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, contractors, and vendors
  • Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and CQV activities to ensure project success
  • Manage project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and change management
  • Drive risk management by identifying, mitigating, and escalating project risks and issues
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead project meetings, status reporting, and executive updates
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and EHS
  • Support development and execution of contracting strategies and vendor management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 7–15+ years of experience managing capital projects in a regulated industry
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Project management methodologies (PMI, stage-gate, EPCM)
    • GMP environments and regulatory compliance
    • Construction and commissioning processes
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience managing large-scale facility expansions or greenfield projects
  • Background in process equipment, utilities, or cleanroom environments
  • Familiarity with project controls tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, cost tracking systems)
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a client-side or embedded OTS/staff augmentation role

Pay Range Disclosure:
