Job description

Job Title: Student Worker - Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty Student Assistant

Job Classification: Business Operations, Student

Department: Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty

Hiring Manager: Codie Robinson

Work Schedule: 15 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 am and 5 pm

Desired Length of Employment: Summer 2026 (mid May - mid August, with some flexibility to add additional weeks on either end)

Pay Rate: $14 - $19/Hour

Job Description:

The Student Worker will support particular staff as assigned by: 

  1. Support the Program Director and Director  
  2. Support the expansion of food security program for older adults, Eating Well is a SNAP!  
  3. Assist with program documents, timelines, and record management system through editing, updating, and tracking training 
  4. Support data collection 
  5. Coordinating translation of materials into language(s) other than English, as needed  
  6. Organize and schedule meetings and events 
  7. Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission 
  8. Ability to comply with university policies 
  9. Maintain regular and punctual attendance 
  10. Ability to work independently with some supervision 
  11. Possess reliable transportation due to office located downtown 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform business operations duties for assigned area of responsibility  
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients  
  • Ability to prioritize and take initiative  
  • Assist with various projects, activities and tasks related to business operations  
  • Ability to comply with University policies
