The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) team is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to help lead software work in this area. You’ll be responsible for defining and running project plans that move several teams from idea through shipping amazing new features and products. AMT provides the software foundation for Audio across all of Apple's innovative products, from iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, to Apple TV, AirPods, Beats, and Vision Pro. As a key link between developers and our hardware, AMT drives Apple’s audio playback, processing and recording experiences through several APIs, including CoreAudio.
Description
You'll build and maintain implementation plans for all audio team commitments across multiple operating systems and hardware products. This will involve maintaining a multi-year roadmap of commitments from and requests of the audio teams. Additional responsibilities include:
- Define communication between the audio and engineering partners
- Drive cross-functional software implementation for audio accessories
- Communicate project progress to all cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
A track record of quickly understanding technical concepts in a wide range of fields
Demonstrated ability to provide succinct, accurate executive summaries of project status and complicated engineering situations.
Experience with software development in consumer media platforms: mobile, media players, IPTV.
Strong technical proficiency in audio, video, graphics or machine learning (AIML).
Experience with audio technologies
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of Project / Program Management experience in a high-tech environment
5+ years of experience delivering customer-facing software features or projects from concept through delivery
Proven leadership on major, cross-functional software projects
BS/MS (EE/CS/CE) or equivalent
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
