The Position

RRMM Architects is seeking an ambitious Architect / Sr. Project Manager who shares our firmโ€™s and departmentโ€™s vision for growth in the Retail / Commercial Studios. The ideal Candidate will be able to work independently and in a team environment, excellent communication skills, ambitious, driven, committed to quality, knowledgeable of state codes and construction types, organized, ability to mentor staff, able to prioritize work and budget.

This position will be responsible for assisting the Managing Principal / Directors. This individual should have a minimum of 10+ years of architecture, interior design, or related experience with strong organizational and communication skills with a TEAM first approach and the ability to successfully carry a project from inception through construction.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create architectural designs and concepts based on client input and feedback.
  • Interprets and applies building codes and requirements of other regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare, review and revise documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
  • Prepare and manage Contracts / Budgets for multiple projects.
  • Coordinates building systems, consultants dwgโ€™s (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
  • Modify designs to meet the changing needs of each client.
  • Communicate with contractors and construction workers to implement designs changes in the field.
  • Attend project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
  • Review and redline drawings.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Licensed Architect
  • Thorough knowledge and application of accessibility codes and applicable building codes.
  • Thorough understanding / knowledge of building construction systems.
  • Thorough understanding of all phases of architectural document production
  • Ability to conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program.
  • Develop floor, ceiling, roof plans, wall sections, and details.
  • Ability to review work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • To participate and collaborate in an project team setting through all phases of construction document production phase.
  • Design experience in Retail / Commercial projects.
