Position: Project Management Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Project Management
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Revision Date: June 2026
Work Location: Mythic is headquartered in Charlotte, NC; this role is currently scoped as in-office or hybrid.
Mythic employees are expected to work from 9:00am-5:30pm, but may also require evenings and weekends as client needs dictate. Must be authorized to work in the US without corporate assistance. Must be located in the US.
Agency Summary:
Mythic is an independent, full-service agency, delivering connected capabilities across brand strategy, creative, media, social & CRM. We're purpose-built on a single belief: modern growth marketing demands more. Resonant brand work. Fast & scalable performance systems. Rigorous, holistic measurement. Defined by tangible business outcomes. HQ'd in Charlotte, N.C., we focus on consumer and B2B high-growth brands from the mid-market to Fortune 500.
Job Summary:
Mythic is seeking a sharp, systems-minded Project Management Coordinator to join our PM team and help power the engine of the agency. This is an entry-level role with real ownership - you'll work directly alongside senior PMs to track timelines, manage project calendars, and keep cross-functional teams aligned across creative, strategy, and account services. The right candidate is detail-obsessed, communicates proactively, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where no two days look the same. You'll gain direct exposure to integrated agency workflows, high-growth client engagements, and a PM team that's actively building the infrastructure for how Mythic operates at scale.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the full project lifecycle, from kickoff through final delivery, maintaining schedules, tracking milestones, and flagging risks before they become problems.
  • Own the project calendar: schedule internal reviews, coordinate approvals, and adjust timelines in real time in coordination with department leads.
  • Support and partner with senior PMs on complex, multi-discipline client engagements to build cross-functional expertise and exposure to high-level account management.
  • Assist in coordinating internal teams (Account, Creative, and Strategy) to help keep projects within scope, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Create and maintain status sheets and project trackers across all active business lines, providing the agency with a clear view of the project pipeline and resource availability.
  • Monitor project health and surface risks to timelines or budgets early - adapt quickly as project requirements evolve.
  • Utilize and strengthen Mythic's established PM processes to maintain quality standards across deliverables.
  • Report project outcomes and escalate issues appropriately, keeping leadership informed without being asked.

Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Proficient in monday.com (or similar project management system) - must be able to speak confidently to how you've used the platform to manage tasks, timelines, or workflows.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously without dropping the ball.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally at all levels - from creative directors to account leads.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Quick learner with demonstrated ability to pick up new tools and facilitate digital collaboration across distributed teams.
  • A sharp eye for details: timelines, deliverable specs, and budgetary guidelines matter equally.
  • High ownership mentality - you spot what needs doing and move without being asked.

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in project management, creative production coordination, or agency operations; internship experience welcomed.
  • Hands-on experience with monday.com or comparable project management platform required.
  • Agency experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
  • Light work that could include carrying 5 pounds
  • Keyboarding
