About this role

We are recruiting for a Project Manager/Estimator to join our Commercial, Institutional, and Residential (CIR) Project Delivery group in Victoria focused on projects across the island.

The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for leading all aspects of the job. This includes estimating, project planning, labour management, procurement, billing, communications, and wrap up of each project.

Your responsibilities

  • Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities
  • Estimate projects and submit tenders
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
  • Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour
  • Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed
  • Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations
  • Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges
  • Review the project at completion with the supervisor and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges

Your experience and skills

  • Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate
  • 3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating
  • Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close out
  • Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) an asset
  • Strong computer proficiency with MS Office, Procore, AutoCAD, Teams, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to understand customer's needs
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Strong communication, and team collaboration skills
