Job description

Position Description: PurposeThe Project Manager will be a key resource for project tracking, customer billing, proposal development and delivery of customer milestones and deliverables as they leverage TRC’s world class test facilities and personnel. The Project Manager will work in a diverse group that consists of technical experts in the engineering field, along with business associates. The primary focus of this role will be supporting programs relating to both standard and non-standard advanced driver assist system testing, automated and connected vehicle testing, and managing resident client relations.Essential Functions*• Serve as a main point of contact for clients. Includes facilitating conversations to define scope of work for proposal development as well as communicating timely and effectively during project execution and close-out.• Track and monitor project task status including but not limited to purchases, preparatory details for testing, testing, data analysis, and documentation.• Develop and coordinate the overall project budget and timeline based upon customer objectives and supporting personnel inputs• Coordinate project support for the efficient and timely use of resources• Communicate test plans, proposals, non-conformances, and project status to team members and clients via weekly or monthly check in emails.• Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to clients based on services rendered or products delivered• Ensure that all invoices accurately reflect contractual terms, pricing agreements, and company policies• Maintain a proprietary atmosphere• Support the knowledge transfer of projects when transitioning from one employee to another*TRC Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer and is willing to make a change or adjustment to a job or work environment that allows a qualified individual with a disability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of a particular job.**Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions)• Track test plans and project resources based upon customer’s objectives and processes involved• Identify potential delays or resource sharing issues via weekly/monthly project meetings• Attend weekly/biweekly/month project meetings to take thorough notes that summarize the main objectives and key discussion points of the meeting.• Communicate with direct supervisors, and other team members and leadership about meeting notes, project schedule, and resource allocations trends• Support TRC Inc.’s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts• Support internal application development by participating in testing and validation• Experience with project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Google Tasks) is preferredQualifications• Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) or equivalent combination of education and experience• One to three years of project management or related experience preferred• Proficient in project management• General aptitude and experience in testing and/or research preferred• Basic knowledge of an invoicing process, including familiarity of credit memos, billing discrepancies and adjustments• Strong email communication skills, including professional correspondence, timely responses, and attention to detail• Excellent organization, time-management and problem-solving skills• Adept working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)• Strong project planning and scheduling skills, including the use of Gantt charts for complex projects with multiple moving parts• Ability to complete and pass all internal, position specific job and safety trainings required• Valid state DMV issued, or valid foreign country issued driver’s licenseWorking conditions• Standard office, climate-controlled environment• May be exposed to temperatures below 0 degree and above 95 degrees• May be exposed to inclement weather• May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, such as gas, oil, and paintPhysical requirements• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
