About This Job

Axos is seeking an experienced FVP, PMO Manager to lead the successful delivery of high-priority, enterprise-wide initiatives while driving PMO strategy, governance, and continuous improvement. This role combines executive-level program leadership with hands-on project management, ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will oversee a portfolio of complex Agile and Waterfall projects, manage executive stakeholder relationships, mentor Project Managers, and drive operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and directly manage high-visibility, strategic enterprise projects and programs from initiation through delivery.
  • Drive PMO governance, project management standards, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure projects align with organizational goals, delivering measurable business value and operational efficiency.
  • Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, including SVP, EVP, and CEO stakeholders.
  • Oversee portfolio planning, resource allocation, budgets, timelines, risks, and project performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to define success metrics, manage dependencies, and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Lead stakeholder communication efforts, providing visibility into project progress, risks, and recommendations.
  • Mentor, coach, and evaluate Project Managers while promoting project management best practices.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues while maintaining compliance with governance requirements.
  • Drive organizational change management efforts to support adoption of new processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, conduct post-project reviews, and implement lessons learned to improve delivery performance.
  • Champion innovation through the adoption of new tools, technologies, and project management practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of IT Program Management experience delivering projects in complex enterprise environments.
  • Prior people leadership experience with direct management responsibility.
  • Experience managing software development and technology implementation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience leading Agile/Scrum-based enterprise application development projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives, budgets, resources, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience preparing and presenting executive-level reporting and performance metrics.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related project management certifications preferred.
