The role is Hybrid in Oakland office Tues-Thur 8-5pm required, remote Mon & Fri


TOP THINGS:

  • 1) ERP or SAP project experience: Familiarity with project phases, deliverables, and activities. Proven experience supporting different areas on a program. Basic understanding of ERP transformation complexities and cross functional dependencies.
  • 2) Proactive Ownership Skills: Anticipates and removes roadblocks to execution to ensure program outcomes are achieved. Demonstrate ownership by taking initiative to translate meeting outcomes into clearly defined and executable actions.
  • 3) Organizational Skills: Ability to keep track of multiple, concurrent tasks which have varying priorities and due-dates that are subject to change. Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.


This is a multi-year major business and IT transformation initiative with the primary objective of moving from SAPโ€™s ECC version to a SAP S/4 HANA version for Finance, Human Resources, Environmental Health Safety, Supply Chain, Work & Asset Management. This PMO role will be working collaboratively within the PMO team to support leaders and others across the entire Program to forecast, manage, status, and mitigate issues with cost, schedule, resources, methodology and tools supporting several hundred internal and external resources. The Program is now in its first major deployment release and in the early stages of kicking off its second major deployment.


The Project Manager will join the PMO team with a focus on supporting the Release 2 program. This role is critical in working in a dynamic team environment to support the success of our project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate schedule planning, budget planning, vendor management, and resource planning.
  • Manages program reporting, dashboards, presentations, and program health communications.
  • Oversees change control, risk management, onboarding, governance, and executive engagements.
  • Champions Lean and continuous improvement practices.
  • Gather, report, and support risk management frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Must have the ability to communicate complex risk scenarios and solutions to stakeholders at all levels will be essential.
  • Demonstrate a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence and lead teams without direct authority.
  • Ability to analyze data to inform decision-making processes.


Required skills:

  • Experience in ERP software projects or other large technology delivery programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of Program Management including project management methodologies including waterfall and Agile, project phases, deliverable types, and complex cross-organization activities.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
  • Preparing reports and present findings to senior management
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers.

  • Ability to work within a Regulatory environment

Desired Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Project Management, Finance, Accounting, or Management Information Systems.
