Project Management Specialist

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior Project Management Specialist to join our Parts Materials Process Control Board (PMPCB) team located in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and act as the Control Point of approved parts lists (APL) for all El Segundo space programs, by working with PMPCB chairs, engineering, M&P, Survivability, Planning and Supplier Management.

  • Effective communication, influence, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.

  • Experience with electronic parts and works well independently with people across organizations with varying backgrounds and experience and will have a proven track record of successfully managing and integrating projects from initiation through completion.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3+ years' experience in aerospace or defense industry

  • 3+ years' experience in electrical, electronic and electromechanical (EEE) parts and materials

  • 10+ years of experience in a role that requires project management skills

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment

  • 5+ years' experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

  • Strong communication skills with experience engaging stakeholders at multiple levels.

  • Familiarity with engineering disciplines and their roles within complex programs.

  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)
