Project Management Consultant -Level 2-BESS
Contract 1 Year

We do not offer per diem or relocation assistance, so you must live within a drivable distance of Juno Beach, FL.
Your Day-to-Day:
Our Client's Engineering & Construction (E&C) Business Unit is looking for a Senior Project Management Consultant to join their team in Juno Beach, FL.
You will be responsible for daily project coordination. The coordination involves internal and external resources to support multiple activities, including Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction. These activities span from pre-construction (Early Stage) up to the point of Construction. The focus is on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the Engineering and Construction Business Unit (E&C).
You will focus not on a single project, but rather on managing multiple projects all at varying stages. Current portfolio of projects spans the United States and Canada. We require occasional travel to visit the assigned project locations and to support Development with local public hearings.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Coordinate highly matrixed project development teams ensures that resources focus on the right activity at the right time to meet project schedule.
โ€ข Coordinating with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, to ensure all project variables are identified and incorporated.
โ€ข Develop the project's technical scope.
โ€ข Increase project variables to improve both technical and financial feasibility.
โ€ข Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations.
โ€ข Support development teams with jurisdictional needs.
โ€ข Coordinate engineering, estimating and procurement requirements.
โ€ข Support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes to develop designs.
โ€ข Support the E&C cost estimating team for development of financial model.
โ€ข Seek out and use market data to ensure financial model is healthy.
โ€ข Present financial model to respective business unit(s) and manage financial model through executive budget approvals.
โ€ข Competitively source, negotiate and implement commercial contracts for critical services including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
โ€ข Uphold and represent E&C's interests on assigned projects.
โ€ข Participate in multiple software applications to support your activities, manage critical data and deliverables and report on important indicators.
โ€ข Support process improvements and efficiency programs to grow for growth.
โ€ข Regular presentations/briefing on current progress, issues and risk mitigation in meetings with multiple levels of management.
โ€ข Ensure the Construction Project Manager can take over projects moving to the Construction stage with an inclusive and executable construction plan developed.
Who You Are:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Finance/Accounting with experience in related engineering and construction of renewable energy projects.
โ€ข 6 or more years of experience required.
โ€ข Experience with electricity markets, renewables and/or battery projects.
โ€ข PMP Certification and advanced Excel skills.
