• Managing neighborhood and capital improvement projects from concept through construction and closeout.
• Overseeing sidewalk, ADA accessibility, pavement, resurfacing, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Developing and managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and performance objectives.
• Coordinating with consultants, engineers, contractors, utility providers, regulatory agencies, and internal departments.
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and funding requirements.
• Preparing and reviewing project proposals, cost estimates, contracts, and technical documentation.
• Facilitating communication with residents, community organizations, elected officials, and other stakeholders.
• Identifying project risks and implementing strategies to maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring successful and timely project delivery.
• Providing project status updates and recommendations to senior management.

• an accredited bachelors degree in business administration, public administration, project management, construction management, engineering technology, construction engineering technology, engineering, city planning, landscape architecture, or architecture and 6 years professional experience in project management or project management related work
• OR an accredited Masters degree in business administration, public administration, project management, construction management, engineering technology, construction engineering technology, engineering, city planning, landscape architecture, or architecture and 4 years professional experience in project management or project management related work
• OR a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and 6 years as a PMP working in project management or project management related work.
• Must pass a preemployment drug screen. Must possess a valid State-issued drivers license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies.
• Will be required to obtain a Missouri drivers license within nine (9) months.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
