Position Title: Sr Engineering Project Manager
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for a Sr Engineering Project Manager with our client located in Redmond, Washington.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Project planning, scoping, and execution of cross functional development programs from concept through qualification and release.
  • Act as a driving force for helping definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Own creation and resolution to complex cross functional tradeoff decisions to drive program progress
  • Work with teams to develop project milestones and project estimates
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines
  • Lead risk management processes and mitigations
  • Manage engineering program budget creation, tracking, and budget exceptions
  • Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary brainstorms and root cause analysis efforts
  • Ensure steady progress of tasks and identifying and removing stalled or blocked items
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Report to management with detailed status updates and estimation tracking on project deliverables
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage vendor execution to desired schedule, budget, and statement of work
  • Manage strategic supplier and development partner relationships

Job Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience developing and launching integrated Hardware and Software technical products
  • Proven ability to successfully manage large scale projects and teams that deliver new products to market on schedule and within budget constraints
  • Experience managing all phases of the product development life cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative, multi-disciplinary development teams as part of a matrix organization
  • Experience driving efficiencies and reducing operational or manufacturing costs associated with technical programs
  • Thrives in a dynamic, highly ambiguous entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and lead technical teams to structure technology development efforts to meet customer requirements
  • Capability to work with a variety of stakeholders to establish project plans including scope of work, schedules and budget
  • Proven success for developing rapport and managing expectations by effectively communicating project status to all levels of the organization.
  • Skills to create and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project, monitor project team progress and adjust as required to assess risks and control scope
