Fund Accounting Internship Program

The T. Rowe Price 10-week Summer Internship Program offers an opportunity to gain valuable work experience while building skills and long-term career potential. Through teamwork, innovative thinking, and application of your skills, you can add value in various ways to our firm and the clients we support. You will have the opportunity to work with practitioners in the field who are forward-thinking, passionate people that will help you integrate what you learn in school with "real world" business initiatives.

The program includes a formal orientation, peer and senior mentor assignments, and formal learning opportunities. In addition to the work assignments within the assigned department, Interns also gain exposure to Associates and senior leaders across the firm through an executive speaker series, networking activities, and engagement with our Business Resource Groups.

Global Investment Operations (GIO) is a centralized team responsible for enabling T. Rowe Price's business to operate effectively and efficiently, expand use of asset classes and strategies, and deliver an exceptional client experience through continuous evolution and modernization of both operations and technology. Our goal is to provide differentiated client service and ensure operational functions are aligned to be performed at a consistently high quality across global markets.

Fund Administration and Accounting is a centralized team within Global Investment Operations that establishes accounting and financial reporting policy in accordance with applicable regulations, accounting guidance (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), product requirements, and company policies for global T. Rowe Price-sponsored products. As a team, we perform, process, manage, or analyze financial transactions and information to ensure that accounting ledgers, financial statements, regulatory filings, and other reports of financial information are complete, timely, and accurate.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Perform basic oversight activities for assigned accounting and/ or financial reporting process(es), to evaluate accuracy and completeness of data and deliverables from third-party service providers.

  • Conduct activities to identify errors or exceptions exceeding specified tolerances; researches potential resolutions and addresses issues with service providers.

  • Apply knowledge of internal controls, T. Rowe Price accounting and reporting policies, relevant guidance and service standards.

  • Perform business analysis and project management activities.

  • Identify and communicate process and data trends to management.

  • Assist team members by assuming ownership for daily processes, leveraging multiple systems and communicating updates to critical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Full time student pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date of December 2025 - May/June 2027.

  • Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

  • Targeting Accounting majors or related field
