The pay rate for this position is $15.75 - $17.75 / hour, depending on experience.

Purpose:

The Field Marketing and Engagement Intern is a paid internship position that supports the successful Brand Activation and the execution of the field marketing roadmap at their designated account. Though collaboration with the Field Marketing team, they create and execute social communication, marketing campaigns, promotions, and interactive events to reach target goals. This position assists the account leader with creative requests and understanding market trends and data to help influence decisions that drive desirable results. This position also promotes engagement with the campus community through digital connections and live events.

 

Job Responsibilities

Brand Activation

 

  • Partners with Field and Center Marketing partners to activate interactive marketing and, promotional activities (pop-ups, demos, tastings, etc.) and successful sales campaigns within a budget.
  • Works with on-site management team to develop effective unique marketing campaigns and communications s that meet critical campus community needs.
  • Coordinates execution and interaction of social media strategy, designed to engage and inform target audiences
  • May create physical and digital marketing materials aligned to brand specifications to promote engagement on campus and on social media platforms.
  • Uses insights from industry trends and feedback data to influence decisions that will drive targeted outcomes.


Guest, Client, Community Engagement Support

 

  • Act as a student liaison to various departments and organizations on campus and assists with Dining Committee meetings or regular feedback events to obtain guest insights.
  • Contributes to the planning and execution of the account's participation in campus and community events to promote awareness of dining programs, increase auxiliary sales and strengthen brand perception.
  • Elevates all client/account risks to Manager and supports mitigation strategies.
  • Supports site leader with team member engagement activities that mirror guest engagement to close gaps.

 

Qualifications

  • Current university student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to learn and apply new information.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience utilizing social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and technologically savvy
  • Confident with an outgoing, upbeat, friendly personality
  • A demonstrated team player

START DATE & HOURS:

This role is during the school semester. 10-20 hours per week, as agreed upon with supervisor, carried out over a minimum of two days per week. Schedule is flexible to accommodate class schedules and other on-campus commitments.
