Job description

BGE, Inc will hire a Project Manager up to a Sr PM to lead the design and engineering efforts of Water/Wastewater Treatment Facility Plants. You can out of one of our Austin, TX offices: South Austin (Directors Blvd) or North Austin (Louis Henna Blvd).
Job Responsibilities
As a member of our senior team, you will contribute to the leadership of our emerging engineers in high performance operational and technical procedures, as well as relationship building and community involvement. You will also have outstanding training and development opportunities available to you for both professional and personal growth.
You already participate in regional, state and/or national engineering societies. We will sponsor those continuing relationships with you. We know you leverage that exposure for your own personal development, as well as to benefit your company and clients.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Registered PE in Texas required or can be acquired through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
  • 5-10 years experience working in public works and/or municipal services projects.
  • Previous project management (or right-hand PE in task lead role to PM) experience in water/wastewater treatment facilities (biological treatment systems, membrane treatment facilities, pump stations, and piping design)

Job Qualifications
  • Perform project management work on a variety of civil engineering projects related to water and wastewater systems including modeling, pipeline, lift stations and pump stations facilities.
  • Oversee the performance of multiple project managers and/or engineers and their teams.
  • Perform, coordinate and oversee the completion of various engineering tasks by technical staff and subconsultants.
  • Lead project teams across simultaneous assignments
  • Supervise and mentor engineers, designers and technicians.
  • Manage the quality, timeliness and financial aspects of projects.
  • Serve as point of contact for clients.
  • Partner with senior staff in developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Lead or support the development of project pursuits, proposals, and interviews.
