Project Logistics Coordinator Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Our client located in Bayshore is looking to hire an experienced Logistics Coordinator on a direct hire basis. This Logistics Coordinator position is a full time role and is on site. The standard hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5:30pm. We are looking for a candidate to handle the logistics and this in an immediate opening that needs to be filled quickly. JOB TITLE: Logistics Coordinator

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join our clients team. Our client is growing and expanding, that is why this position is open.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Includes but not limited to)

Supply chain management

• Work with forwarders and overseas factories to schedule and track shipments of parts and product to the US and other countries.
• Provide daily update to Finance on all shipments including claims, credit issues, lost or damage product.
• Manual management/tracking/logging of major customer shipments, including cartage costs, securing transportation, working with local team to ensure proper invoicing and readying shipment.
• Manage/ensure tracking of product that is removed from inventory (temporarily or permanently) as samples, or for engineering purposes.

Special Projects

• Manage complex provisioning projects for carriers, including proprietary device updates, packaging, kitting, etc. these projects involve multiple ship-to’s/ tracking/ proof of delivery, and any other issues that might arise during shipment and upon verification of delivered product.

Weekly meetings with various business entities:

• Meet with customers to discuss forecasts, product availability and launch dates
• Liaise between the business and the customers to manage delivery expectations
• Professionally manage business relationships in fast moving, complex and sometimes stressful situations.

Order Entry Operations activities:

• Daily review of all order entry activities for accuracy and timely completion
• Create BOMs and production orders in SAP for SKU conversions
• Review WIP RMAs to manage timely credit to customers and issue Credit memos.
• Work with warehouse on daily SAP/shipping issues: voiding of SHR's, assisting in releasing of orders when necessary, assisting in rearranging resources when needed to ensure all daily orders are shipped.
• Work directly with Finance and organize staff to run cycle counts and full inventory of assets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior logistics experience is a must
• Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Patience for people and a high stress tolerance when needed
• Friendly and professional with excellent listening skills
• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple and changing priorities
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to negotiate
• Highly resourceful team player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Salary is based upon experience but the target is $65k-75k plus a complete benefits package.
