Job description

About Giga
Giga is building gigawatts of AI data centers to hasten a future of intelligence and abundance. We build data centers fast and at scale by combining the capabilities of an equipment supplier, engineering firm, general contractor, and real estate developer under one roof. Our team moves quickly and thinks practically. If you're ready to make an impact in an industry that matters, we're looking for people like you.
Why join Giga
  • The Pace: We're building at a speed most companies talk about but never actually operate at. If you've been bored somewhere else, you won't be here.
  • The Impact: Every person at Giga touches the work that matters. No layers, no waiting for approval chains. You'll see your fingerprints on what we ship.
  • The Team: A team of operators defining the future of AI infrastructure. We recruit A-players from the most innovative companies in the world, and they choose Giga because the work here means more.
  • The Moment: AI doesn't run without power, and that's us. Giga is the picks and shovels behind the AI revolution. This industry is about to explode, and you'll be in the room where it's already happening.

What you'll do
Giga Energy is seeking a hands-on Global Logistics Coordinator to support our international supply chain. You'll own the day-to-day execution that ensures materials, components and finished products move seamlessly across our global network. The position blends operational execution and strategic business decisions by managing ocean and trucking carriers, import and export coordination, terminal relationships, 3PLs, and customs brokers while ensuring compliance across the full process. You'll partner closely with our manufacturing, sales, and project delivery teams to ensure our supply chain supports Giga's rapid growth in the data center sector.
Where you'll work
We are an in-office culture - velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure, and the best decisions happen in the room. This role is ideally based in our San Francisco, Long Beach, or Houston offices, with full-time onsite expectations outside of bi-weekly WFH Fridays.
That said, we will make exceptions for truly exceptional talent if you live outside one of our hubs. If you're the right person for this role, we'll have a conversation about what works.
Responsibilities
Ocean & Port ManagementManage ocean bookings and shipping strategy in coordination with manufacturing and procurement teams.
    • Monitor incoming shipments and coordinate with terminals and truckers.
    • Track carrier contracts, rate changes, and surcharges (e.g., PSS, bunker) to ensure accurate cost application.
  • Inbound & Outbound Logistics
    • Coordinate inbound drayage and domestic trucking moves to Giga facilities for units, parts, and components.
    • Manage outbound domestic trucking of finished products (transformers, switchgear, enclosures) to customer sites and internal project locations.
    • Support miscellaneous and parcel shipments as needed to keep material flow on schedule.
  • Export Coordination
    • Prepare and manage export documentation and bookings for international shipments.
    • Coordinate export logistics and communication with overseas manufacturing and partner sites.
  • Customs & Compliance
    • Own the customs clearance process, including product classifications and verification.
    • Monitor duty spend, tariff rate changes, and work with CBP where applicable.
  • Billing & Cost Tracking
    • Review and validate drayage, trucking, ocean carrier, and customs broker invoices for accuracy.
    • Track landed cost and freight spend per order to support accurate reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Support
    • Partner with Sales to provide logistics cost and tariff inputs for the quoting process.
    • Support manufacturing and project delivery teams by keeping material flow aligned with production and deployment timelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight operations, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or electrical infrastructure industries.
  • Working knowledge of international freight, customs processes, and Incoterms.
  • Experience coordinating with carriers, 3PLs, freight forwarders, or customs brokers.
  • Export experience, including documentation and booking for international shipments.
  • Familiarity with oversized and breakbulk cargo, including the logistics of moving heavy or non-containerized freight.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities at once.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and Excel, with comfort building trackers and managing data across multiple shipments.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable in the day-to-day execution of a fast-moving logistics operation.
Bonus points
  • Experience in data center infrastructure, electrical equipment, or modular construction supply chains.
  • Exposure to transformer, switchgear, or power system logistics (heavy electrical equipment, long-lead materials).
  • Familiarity with ERP or TMS systems used for supply chain visibility and tracking.
  • Language skills in Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages supporting international manufacturing operations.
Benefits
  • Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Equity (options) in a rapidly growing startup
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Parental leave
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Commuter benefits
  • Monthly team onsites where all offices come in-person to collaborate

Pay Transparency
The range provided below is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning it includes both the commission / bonus target and annual base salary for the role (if applicable). This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Giga and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include 401(k) plan plus subsidized medical, dental, and vision benefits.
Salary Range
$70,000-$80,000 USD
Who we hire
We hire people who thrive in chaos and get sharper under pressure. You don't wait to be told what to do, you spot the gap and fill it. When there's work to be done, you do it. You make decisions with the information you have, move fast, and adjust along the way. We're not looking for perfect; we're looking for people who get things done.
