Role Overview

The Staffing Project Analyst (SPA) is responsible for supporting the financial and operational health of project engagements within Strategic Resourcing. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Delivery, Finance, and Services Operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and invoicing throughout the project lifecycle.

SPAs are accountable for maintaining project financial integrity, proactively identifying risks or variances, and delivering reliable insights that support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Project Financial Management & Execution

  • Forecast project costs, revenue, and timelines in accordance with established project scopes and agreements.
  • Track budgets, hours, burn rates, and utilization to ensure projects remain financially sound.
  • Perform routine audits and variance analysis to identify discrepancies, risks, or trends impacting project health.

Reporting, Invoicing & Compliance

  • Support accurate and timely customer and partner invoicing, ensuring alignment with contractual terms.
  • Maintain financial documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and reporting standards.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and multiple internal reporting platforms.
  • Support processing of project changes, extensions, or adjustments to ensure scope and financial alignment.

Risk Identification & Escalation

  • Monitor project financial performance indicators to proactively surface risks, issues, or potential impacts.
  • Escalate concerns in a timely manner using established escalation paths.
  • Provide clear, data-driven insights to support resolution and decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholder teams to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Support the organization by providing accurate financial and project insights.
  • Contribute to a positive stakeholder experience through consistent communication and follow-through.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience supporting project financials, reporting, or operational delivery in a services or professional environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in staffing, consulting, or professional services organizations.
  • Familiarity with project financial reporting, invoicing processes, or utilization tracking.
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience creating and maintaining project schedules and milestone tracking to support on-time, in-scope delivery.
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current salary is $56,800 - $71,000 per year. Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
