Role description:

You will lead and integrate highly complex, multidisciplinary teams spanning architecture, building engineering, environmental, civil infrastructure, project controls, and other specialist disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration across all phases of project delivery. Our projects demand not only strong technical and commercial coordination, but also an understanding of how our teams expertise comes together to deliver integrated, high-quality outcomes for our clients and communities.

The work you lead will help shape critical infrastructure and built environments across Canada, creating long-term value for clients, communities, and future generations. This role requires leadership, strategic perspective, and a commitment to delivering sustainable, resilient, and future-ready solutions.

You will oversee a team of Project Managers, Coordinators, and Schedulers supporting Arcadis' largest multidisciplinary programs and projects.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects to meet client goals, project requirements, and Arcadis business objectives
  • Support project teams and leadership on project delivery, commercial issues, risk management, and execution strategy
  • Be responsible for delivering projects in line with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contract requirements
  • Lead and support teams across all disciplines, including architecture, engineering, environmental, infrastructure, and project controls
  • Work with project teams and internal support groups, including risk, legal, finance, and insurance to manage contracts and resolve issues
  • Lead major project proposals, including scope, fees, delivery plans, and staffing
  • Participate in project reviews, reporting, and internal governance activities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, partners, and subconsultants to support project success
  • Monitor project performance and help teams address issues related to cost, schedule, quality, and risk
  • Manage project financial and operational activities, including:
    • Budgets
    • Financial forecasting
    • Revenue tracking
    • Invoicing and collections
    • Performance reporting
  • Use project data to support decision-making and improve outcomes
  • Share lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Mentor and support team members through coaching and knowledge sharing

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Canada
  • PMP certification preferred
  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP is an asset
  • 15+ years of experience managing large, complex projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, risk, and overall performance
  • Strong understanding of multiple project delivery models such as:
    • Design-Build
    • P3
    • IPD
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with contract negotiation, commercial management, and conflict resolution
  • Experience in Oracle
  • Knowledge of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work well across teams, regions, and disciplines
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to travel
  • Must be eligible for security clearance

The salary range for this position is $106,000- $190,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
