An AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a Real Estate (Public Finance) Associate or Senior Associate Attorney to join its Atlanta office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated public finance and real estate transactions within a nationally recognized real estate platform handling complex development and tax-advantaged projects.

The firm is seeking an attorney with strong public finance experience, particularly involving tax-exempt bond issuances and economic incentive transactions tied to commercial development projects.

The Role

Associates in this position may work on matters involving:

  • Tax-exempt bond issuances
  • Public finance transactions
  • Tax incentive and economic development matters
  • Bonds-for-title structures
  • PILOT and similar tax incentive programs
  • Commercial real estate development transactions
  • Public-private partnership projects
  • Real estate financing and transactional matters

Attorneys may represent issuers, developers, lenders, companies, or other stakeholders on sophisticated public finance and development transactions across a broad range of industries.

Ideal Background
  • 3+ years of public finance experience
  • Experience with tax-exempt bond issuances and incentive transactions required
  • Experience as bond counsel, issuer’s counsel, or company counsel preferred
  • Commercial real estate, federal tax, or energy/solar experience is a plus
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage sophisticated transactional matters in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent academic credentials required
  • Georgia Bar admission preferred or ability to waive in
