Magnum Piering, Inc. is seeking a Civil Project Engineer for our West Chester, Ohio office. We are recognized as the leader of manufactured geo-structural products world-wide. Our current opening for a Civil Project Engineer is somewhat unique, in that the position can be molded to suit the successful candidate on several levels. Do you enjoy on-site more than the daily in-office environment? Let's talk about that - while the position has specific education requirements and responsibilities, Magnum Piering takes a wider view of assignments and customer needs and customizes those needs for today's work force. Maybe your situation is just the opposite and you have needs that require little travel duties - let's talk about it. Let's not assume the position has a one-size-fits-everyone!

Major Responsibilities:

As a Civil Project Engineer at Magnum Piering, you will provide engineered geotechnical and structural solutions to a wide variety of clients. Projects primarily include: Deep Foundation, Earth Retention and Stability, Steve and Concrete Design. This position is responsible for the project from inception to completion.

  • Evaluating structural & geotechnical data
  • Construction estimating
  • Developing material take-offs and quotes for delivery to clients
  • Answering technical questions
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering submittals
  • Interact daily with contractors & engineers
  • Communicate with intercompany departments to meet project needs
  • Visit job sites for further training

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management from ABETE accredited university program
  • 1-5 years of experience in construction and/or engineering industry (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be ambitious, self-motivated, and independent thinker
  • Must either have or be able to test for EIT. PE is a plus but not required
