The Bulk Project Engineer will provide technical support to the field service technicians as well as Bulk Specialists on all new installations/upgrades and major repairs for bulk and Cryo systems within the Region.Support and communicate the safety culture for the region’s Bulk Operations Team consistent with region and organ ization-wide safety policies , procedures and direction.Pioneer the rollout efforts for any new region or national initiatives involving bulk operations .Plan, coordinate and guide , to completion, projects involving complex bulk system design , including installation , upgrade , maintenance , and repair projects for Airgas East customers.Work with the Field Service Coordinators (FSC) to support their tracking and management of the ordering and shipment of all equipment needed for any complex project.Trusted with P&IDs , layout drawings , design calculations , coordination with equipment vendors or other experts, and regulatory compliance for all complex projects where they are the lead and provide support in this area as needed for other projects within the region .Design work will consider or involve, among other things: proper equipment specifications ; developing P&I Ds and equipment layout drawings ; pressure , flow , temperature , concentration and other calculations.Design wor k and installations must meet company, industry, safety and regulatory guidelines as well as the customer application needs .Answer project related status and technical questions from the Bulk Operations & Sales teams , from the Division, and any other internal or external stakeholders .Support that complex projects are completed safely, on time and on budget.Provide internal collaboration . Participate in weekly calls with the Bulk Sales and Operations Teams to review the entire project pipeline (i.e. open, closed, and pending) and calls involving troubleshooting a nd system.Provide guidance to engineering and project activities to deliver performance , safety and quality excellence ; inspires other team members toward shared success .Support alignment so that engineering and projects adhere to the Airgas Bulk Installation Manual (BIM) and that all Airgas, industry, regulatory and safety standards and guidelines are implemented and followed.Communicate directly with customer technical representative s for timely resolution of technical issues and for project planning .Support the Bulk Sales team on process design and technical aspects of customer proposals . In lieu of degree, we may consider up to an additional five (5) years of related experience .5 years in a merchant/packaged gas project coordinator or technician related role with preference for prior demonstrated experience working with multiple departments and cross-functional teams .Demonstrated ability to effectively organize priorities and a high attention to detail .Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing ; lis tens effectively and clarifies information as needed; wor ks well with others in a team environment across the organization knowing who to engage to advance shared goals .
