Job description

MATT Construction, the General Contractor that built such iconic structures as The Broad Museum and Academy Museum of Motion Pictures , is accepting applications for the Project Engineer role.
About the Project Engineer role
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, the Project Engineer organizes and coordinates the review of submittals and the RFI process. Additionally, the PE will assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager with daily tasks such as participating in Owner, Design, and staff meetings and monitoring the process with subcontractors/design team to ensure the timely approval of construction materials. Finally, the Project Engineer will facilitate the review of materials delivered to the site and interface with the Superintendent on field walks to receive development to become a Builder.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or other applicable background
  • Construction internship or other related construction work experience preferred
  • General knowledge of construction principles/practices
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment
  • Working or College experience with BIM and LEED is beneficial
