Role: Project Engineer

Location: Beaumont, TX (Onsite)

Job Description

Work scope Overview: 

  • To be the primary interface for site based projects between Client site and Quest Global (India Engineering team)
  • Responsible to gather site information, field inputs & site clarification for smooth and seamless delivery of engineering.
  • Shall co-ordinate with Site stakeholders, local vendors, as needed. 
  • Should be liaising with Client design lead for any emerging scenarios in the project
  • Responsible for planning and executing the work related to an assigned brownfield project scope. The assigned scope is determined and customized based on the project’s work breakdown (contracting) structure, geographic distribution and general needs. 
  • Typically assigned to the project commencing with FEED and continue through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up 
  • Possibility to participate in early concept selection, project screening and development planning 
  • Delegated Safety, Cost, Schedule, Quality, and Operability Stewardship responsibility for their assigned project scope. Contract ownership may also be delegated if appropriate 
  • Responsible for stewarding contractor’s performance, engaging/aligning key stakeholders, engaging discipline engineers and expert resources from the global experts, as required, to complete the assigned scope consistent with the project’s objectives. 

Job specific responsibilities\tasks: 

  • Responsible for the completion of the assigned work scope consistent with the project’s objectives 
  • Oversee FEED level engineering, procurement and execution planning through to completion and start up. 
  • Participates in identification and sourcing and management of long lead equipment 
  • Coordinates development of Project Management System deliverables as well as reviews 
  • Coordinates project issues identification and resolution process 
  • Ensure smooth transitions between project stages, across sites and between key stakeholders

Work Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor Degree or above in Mechanical/ Chemical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university. 
  • Minimum of 9 years working experience which related to petrochemical / refining industry / similar process industries.
  • Industry design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria
  • Demonstrated organizational, coordination, planning, interface and technical judgment skills
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities. 
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak English
