Job description

Project Engineer

4 Corner Resources is hiring a Project Engineer for a well-established industrial equipment manufacturer in Austell, Georgia. This is a direct-hire, salaried opportunity on a close-knit four-person engineering team, where you will own customer-facing project work from pricing conversations through hands-on reverse engineering of repair solutions.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Communicate directly with customers regarding project scope of work and pricing
  • Coordinate closely with shop personnel to keep projects on schedule
  • Perform reverse engineering on customer equipment using Inventor and Excel to determine repair scope and required parts
  • Prepare drawings, procedures, and specifications for new products and repairs to existing products
  • Generate and revise sales orders tied to customer quotes
  • Develop and maintain CAD drawings for assigned projects
  • Support the mentoring of junior-level project engineers as part of a small, collaborative engineering team

Project Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or chemical preferred); candidates with a business degree and equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
  • 2 to 3 years of professional engineering experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort handling customer-facing conversations
  • Proficiency with Inventor and Excel
  • Comfortable working around heavy industrial equipment, which can weigh up to 100,000 pounds
  • Must live within about 1 hour of Austell, GA and be available to work fully on-site.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds overhead and stand or bend for extended periods.

Project Engineer Details:

  • Location: Austell, GA (fully on-site)
  • Schedule: Full-time; flexible start between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., working an 8-hour shift
  • Pay Rate: Starting at $78,000, based on experience, with a possible quarterly performance bonus
