PROJECT ENGINEER I (WATER RESOURCES)
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for a full-time Project Engineer I within the Water Resources department in Spicer Group’s Dundee and Bingham Farms office.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Water Resources Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing water resource projects to ensure efficient and sustainable use of water resources. This role involves working on a variety of projects, stormwater management, and flood control.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducting site investigations and surveys to assess water resource needs and constraints.
  • Developing project plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water resource projects.
  • Designing and implementing stormwater management facilities.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, scientists, and government officials, to ensure project success.
  • Monitoring project progress, budget, and schedule to ensure timely completion.
  • Conducting environmental impact assessments and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Participating in public meetings and consultations to gather feedback and address community concerns.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and other relevant software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of water resource management principles and practices.
