Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides engineering support for the prototype, design, production, and subsequent life cycle sustainment for various technical and DoD level projects and subsequent spiral efforts therein.
  • Responsible for design and analysis of mostly mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and DoD level technical data packages.
  • Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
  • Supports personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
  • Determines methods and procedures to be used on new assignments and may serve in a lead role and provide guidance to personnel.
  • Recommends changes to team policies and contributes to the development of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Routinely interacts with outside customers and functional peer groups.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required.

EXPEREINCE:

  • 0-3 years of relevant technical field experience.

CLEARANCE:

  • Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. (We will assist in gaining a clearance but existing secret clearance is preferred)

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Desired experience utilizing Solidworks 3D modeling and Finite Element Analysis.
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking and working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous or near simultaneous deadlines in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Candidate must also be conscientious, well organized, punctual, reliable, and capable of managing resources and schedules which affect deadlines.
  • Real attention to detail is very important.
  • Prior military experience a plus
