Job Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:

  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
  • Coordinate quality controlobjectivesand activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
  • Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnelregardingpurchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
  • Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools andcomputer.
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
  • Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
  • Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degreeintechnicalrelated discipline or 10 years related automotive experience with sound understanding of BIW build fit & function.

WORK EXPERIENCE/ TECHNICAL TRAINING:

  • Must have an understanding in the following areas, die / die process, assembly tooling, welding & sealer applications, CMM & datum alignment, data processing & reporting, customer tolerancing concepts, working knowledge ofcatiaV4/V5.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Project, Word.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
