Job description

Join a great team! An enthusiastic self-driven needed for a general contractor. This is a salary position – exempt.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Project Manager to coordinate project requirements, activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Project material procurement management.
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to the superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports for all document responses, drawing updates, proposals received, etc.
  • Write and issue subcontractor contracts.
  • Write and issue Purchase Orders.
  • Write and issue project owner change orders and subcontractor change orders.
  • Draft and issue Requests for Information (RFIs), project submittals, and their responses.
  • Manage RFPs and RFQs.
  • Compile Close-out packages consisting of warranties, operation and maintenance manuals, and more.
  • Assist estimating department with:
  • Invitation to bid
  • Follow up with subcontractors bidding projects
  • Manage Plans, addendums & RFIs for estimating
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors and clients.
  • Other projects and tasks as needed.


Requirements and skills

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Project Engineer/Coordinator or similar role.
  • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Procore or similar construction management program.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team.
