Job description

What you'll do:
Job Summary
The Supply Chain Co-Op at our Windsor CT Satellite location will be responsible for assisting in day to day SCM activities including material data analysis, Kanban audits, and shipping and receiving support. This role will be a duration of one semester and requires a minimum of 20 working hours per week.
The hourly rate for this Co-Op will be $25.00/hr. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct data analysis on material availability to identify shortages, inventory risks, and opportunities for improvement in the ordering process.
  • Lead routine kanban audits.
  • Assist with ordering advanced purchase materials and expediting critical components to maintain production schedules.
  • Work with Shipping and Receiving to verify material receipts, resolve discrepancies, and improve receiving accuracy.
  • Assist with material organization and relocations during shop floor re-layout.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier invoicing issues through coordination with internal teams and outside vendors.
  • Enter, track, and manage damaged material requests (DMRs).
  • Work with logistics providers to resolve shipment discrepancies, freight issues, and delivery exceptions.
  • Support kanban replenishment by reviewing inventory levels and recommending adjustments to stocking levels.
  • Contribute to quarterly physical inventory by helping with pre-work such as updating shelf tags, preparing inventory materials, and training new employees on inventory procedures.

Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program and currently in, or entering senior year
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. The candidate must reside within 50 miles of Windsor, CT.
