Job description

Tiger Analytics is looking for a Sales Director - Pharma & Life Sciences to join our fast-growing AI/Advanced Analytics consulting firm. We are the trusted analytics partner for multiple Fortune 500 companies, enabling them to generate business value from data. Our business value and leadership have been recognized by various market research firms, including Forrester and Gartner. We are looking for top-notch talent as we continue to build the best global analytics consulting team in the world. Based in the New York/New Jersey area, the Sales Director will be an integral part of the Sales Team and reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, play a fundamental role in driving our client acquisition and revenue growth in the Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences (Pharma/LS) sector. 

The Sales Director will be responsible for:

  • First impressions with C-level executives, SVP/VPs, and Leaders across Commercial Analytics, R&D, Clinical Development, Patient Services, and IT/Data Engineering in top Life Sciences enterprises.
  • Strategic partnerships with cloud ecosystem and domain platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Veeva, and IQVIA).
  • High-impact presentations and tailored solution pitches showcasing AI, Generative AI, Commercial Data Products, and Advanced Analytics capabilities. 
  • Active participation at relevant industry conferences (e.g., PMSA, SCOPE, Summit for Clinical Ops, Bio-IT World), executive roundtables, and regional Life Sciences events.
  • Generation of qualified leads and transitioning those leads to multi-million-dollar long-term accounts across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device organizations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in client-facing sales, account management, or business development roles within technology consulting and data/AI services.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline; master's degree or MBA a plus.
  • Deep expertise selling Analytics, Big Data, Cloud, and AI solutions specifically into US Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical Device enterprise clients (revenues > $1 billion).
  • Industry focuses on Pharma & Life Sciences data domains: Commercial Analytics (Next-Best-Action, Media Mix Modeling, Patient Journey), Real-World Data/Evidence (RWD/RWE), Master Data Management (HCP/HCO), Clinical Trials Optimization, and Medical Access. 
  • Strong understanding of standard healthcare and life sciences datasets (e.g., IQVIA, Veeva, LAAD, APLD, Komodo, Optum, Flatiron). 
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory, GxP, and HIPAA compliance environments during enterprise procurement and contract cycles.
  • Excellent relationship-building and account management skills with senior client stakeholders up to the C-suite.
  • Results-oriented, innovative, and energetic team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and extreme accountability for revenue targets.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills tailored for executive audiences.
  • Willingness to travel across major North American hubs as needed to drive client relationships.
  • Cross-cultural and onshore-offshore delivery model experience working with globally distributed presales, domain, and delivery teams. 
  • Prior experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce,  ZohoCRM, HubSpot).
