Job description

Are you a visionary leader ready to shape the future of land development in the DC metro area and Northern Virginia? RK&K is seeking a Land Development / Site Development Leader to lead high-impact projects, mentor top talent, and expand our reach across Federal, Public, and Private sectors.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and manage active site development projects across DC and Northern Virginia
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships
  • Drive business growth by expanding RK&K's footprint in new markets
  • Oversee design, permitting, and quality control for land development projects
  • Mentor and develop junior and senior civil engineering staff
  • Facilitate client presentations, internal meetings, and plan approvals

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE license in DC and/or VA (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in land/site development
  • Deep knowledge of permitting processes in DC and Northern V
  • Proven leadership and project management experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Strong local network of engineers and clients; active in industry groups
