Role Overview

The Product Development Associate works directly with the Product Development Specialist to support the development and execution of new products. This role helps move products from early concept through presentation by coordinating creative, product, and communication efforts across teams.

The Product Development Associate also acts as a bridge betweenbuyers, factories,sales, and internal teams, ensuring product information is accurate, clearly communicated, and aligned with the intended creative vision.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Creative Execution

  • Support the development ofnew product ranges from concept through presentation.
  • Help translate creative direction into clear, actionable guidance for the studio and partners.
  • Ensure thecreative vision is executed correctlyacross product design, packaging, and presentation materials.
  • Review work coming from the studio to confirm alignment with the intended look, feel, and product story.
  • Flag inconsistencies or issues and work with the team to correct them early.

Buyer, Factory & Content Coordination

  • Work directly withbuyers and factoriesto gather required product content and information.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain accurate product details including features, specs, pricing, and timelines.
  • Setting up item cardswith complete and clear product information.
  • Communicate product details and updates clearly back to buyers.
  • Ensure buyers fully understandwhat the product is, how it functions, and how it should be positioned.

Project & Process Management

  • Track multiple product ranges at once and help keep timelines moving.
  • Capture feedback, action items, and next steps from meetings.
  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, or misalignment and help drive solutions.
  • Maintain organized files, assets, and documentation for active programs.

Showroom & Trade Show Support

  • Assist withshowroom setup and ongoing organization.
  • Supporttrade show booth planning and execution, including product selection and presentation readiness.
  • Support sales with client presentations via providing appropriate samples in advance (sometimes shipping them ahead of time).
  • Help ensure all displayed products and materials clearly reflect the creative vision and product story.
  • Sit in on meetings when theProduct Development Specialist is unavailable.
  • Represent creative and product priorities in a clear, professional manner.
  • Take meeting notes and ensure follow-up and communication happen efficiently.
  • Act as a point of continuity between teams, buyers, and leadership.
