  • Project Engineer II: $32–$36/hour ($66,560–$74,880 annually)

Job Overview:

KASA Construction Inc. is seeking motivated Project Engineers at multiple levels (I, II, and III) to join our high-performing construction management team. Whether you're just starting out or looking to move into a leadership role, this is an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive field and office experience on public works and commercial infrastructure projects across Southern California. Our Project Engineers play a crucial role in supporting and managing construction operations, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety, and budgeting—ensuring successful delivery of projects ranging from parks to highways.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, and resources to ensure efficient jobsite operations.

  • Enforce safety compliance and KASA’s Safety and Health Management Program across all assigned personnel.

  • Participate in subcontractor/vendor selection, negotiation, and oversight.

  • Conduct and lead meetings with project teams, owners, and subcontractors.

  • Analyze contracts and develop mitigation strategies to address project risk.

  • Submit notifications and manage claims, RFIs, submittals, and design changes.

  • Support budgeting, scheduling, and cost control processes using KASA’s internal systems.

  • Monitor project progress and prepare financial, schedule, and performance reports.

  • Maintain site logistics plans and assist in quality control and compliance checks.

  • Perform regular jobsite visits and collaborate closely with field staff and Superintendents.

Qualifications:
  • Experience Required:
    • Project Engineer I: 0–2 years

    • Project Engineer II: 2–4 years

    • Project Engineer III: 4+ years and experience leading project segments

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (experience may substitute).

  • Knowledge of public works and civil engineering construction.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management tools (e.g., Procore, HCSS, Foundation Software, Primavera P6, Planswift).

  • Estimating experience is a plus.

  • Strong math, accounting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to new technologies.

  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to grow in the construction industry.
