Job description

AI is a new and rapidly growing discipline at Express. While the AI team sits within the Strategy Lab, its success depends on strong partnership with departments across the organization — starting with IT. The Strategy Lab is currently developing several AI proofs of concept, which must move from initial testing in the Lab through Express's standard IT development and governance processes before reaching production.

We are seeking an AI Solutions Delivery Manager to own this transition. This person will guide AI initiatives from the Strategy Lab through IT testing, security, and infrastructure review, and ultimately into full operational. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role for someone who thrives on translating ambiguity into process and turning promising ideas into production-ready, scalable solutions.


 

Express Employment International believes in the value of in-person collaboration to support teamwork, creativity and connection. Employees in this position are expected to work a four (4) day in-office schedule, with the flexibility to work remotely one (1) day each week, based on business and department needs.


 

RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Initiative Delivery & Production Readiness

  • Lead the transition of AI proofs of concept into IT testing and production environments
  • Coordinate deployment activities across development, testing, infrastructure, security, and finally, business teams
  • Monitor progress and proactively identify and resolve delivery obstacles
  • Ensure AI projects meet organizational standards for production deployment and/or that those standards, as they apply, to AI are developed

IT Process Navigation & Governance

  • Guide AI requests through established IT processes and governance frameworks
  • Partner with stakeholders to define technical, operational, security, and compliance requirements
  • Help business and Strategy Lab teams understand implementation pathways, dependencies, and approval requirements
  • Maintain documentation, project status reporting, and deployment readiness assessments

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the primary coordinator between Strategy Lab initiatives and IT delivery teams
  • Escalate issues and track remediation activities to completion
  • Update stakeholders on priorities, timelines, risks, and resource requirements

AI Platform Partnership

  • Work closely with the owner of the enterprise AI production platform
  • Gather operational feedback and production issues for continuous improvement

Organizational Rollout & Adoption

  • Partner with PMO and operational leaders to transition successful AI solutions into enterprise adoption programs
  • Track adoption metrics, business outcomes and ROI
  • Bring implementation challenges back to AI engineering team for redesign or optimization when necessary
     

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or related field preferred, but not required — equivalent experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in technology project delivery, program management, or IT operations required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES

  • Experience with AI, machine learning, automation, or data platform initiatives
  • Experience working with enterprise cloud platforms such as Azure
  • managing cross-functional technology initiatives
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and IT governance processes
  • Experience working with stakeholders across technical and business functions
