About DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE): DDSE is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas/civil engineering, permitting and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services in the natural gas industry for many years. We currently perform these engineering services related to natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design (M&R, gate stations, and regulator stations) and customer services (residential and commercial) for a variety of natural gas customers throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team is comprised of experienced natural gas engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel as well as in-house staff expertise in the areas of legal, compliance, and safety.

The Engineering Project Coordinator role is a multifaceted position that will provide project support for our Land Development, Utilities Engineering, and Survey teams. This position will serve as the administrative hub for these various teams. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual that can work well both in a team as well as an individual contributor. This individual must also be able to work well in a deadline driven environment and have excellent time management and organizational skills. Project management skills related to engineering project setup, internal and external project coordination for subconsultants, purchase orders, file management, proposal coordination, project schedule related to deadlines, staffing, and budget.

Engineering Project Coordinator Pay Range: $25-$35/hour

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project file management
  • Project setup including Design Ticket creation and tracking
  • Gather record plans from other utilities through 811 requests
  • Assist with proposal writing and tracking
  • Coordinate with project teams on project schedules, staffing, and financial tracking
  • Coordinate with Project Managers documenting and follow-through on change-orders
  • Assist with processing permits for projects and manage the coordination of individual agency permits
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly invoices
  • Subconsultant onboarding

Skills and Experience

Required

  • High School Diploma or Vocational training in a closely related field
  • 2 4 years related administrative and project coordination experience
  • Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Punctual, reliable and a team player
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills

Preferred

  • Prior experience working in a Civil Engineering environment or a public utility
  • An associate or bachelors degree in business administration or marketing
  • Project management skills
  • Previous permitting experience
