We're seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who thrives in both sales and production management. This role is responsible for generating new business, managing projects from contract signing through final completion, and delivering an exceptional customer experience that leads to referrals and repeat business.
The Project Manager is responsible for generating new business, closing sales, overseeing construction projects, and ensuring every customer receives outstanding service throughout the entire project lifecycle. This position combines outside sales, customer relationship management, and construction project management to ensure projects are completed safely, profitably, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Project Managers are expected to manage every phase of their assigned projects while consistently meeting company sales, production, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
Sales & Business Development
- Generate self-sourced leads weekly and document all activity in the CRM.
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals outlined in the compensation plan.
- Conduct residential and commercial roof inspections.
- Present estimates and educate customers on roofing systems, insurance claims, and financing options.
- Prepare accurate project scopes and pricing.
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through signed contract.
- Follow up with prospects to maximize closing rates.
- Build referral relationships with homeowners, Realtors, insurance agents, property managers, HOAs, builders, and local businesses.
- Participate in networking, community events, canvassing, and other lead-generation activities.
- Request referrals and online reviews from satisfied customers.
Project Management
- Manage roofing and construction projects from contract through final completion.
- Maintain required project timelines.
- Coordinate subcontractors, crews, suppliers, material deliveries, permits, inspections, and scheduling.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings and final walkthroughs.
- Monitor quality, budgets, schedules, and project progress.
- Resolve issues quickly to minimize delays and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Communicate proactively with customers throughout the project.
- Perform final quality inspections before project closeout.
Insurance Claims & Supplements
- Prepare documentation for insurance supplements.
- Meet with insurance adjusters as needed.
- Submit all required documentation accurately and on time.
Customer Service
- Deliver outstanding customer service throughout every phase of the project.
- Keep customers informed of scheduling, progress, and expectations.
- Resolve concerns professionally.
- Build long-term relationships that generate referrals and repeat business.
Documentation & Administration
- Maintain accurate project files and CRM records.
- Upload inspections, photos, estimates, contracts, measurements, communications, and project updates.
- Document all customer interactions.
- Keep project files complete and audit-ready.
Financial Responsibilities
- Collect deposits, progress payments, and final payments.
- Process change orders and supplemental billing.
- Complete project closeout documentation.
- Help maintain project profitability through effective planning and cost management.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards.
- Monitor subcontractor workmanship and complete punch-list items promptly.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
- Maintain clean, organized job sites.
- Report safety incidents immediately.
- Maintain company equipment and vehicles responsibly.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of roofing, restoration, construction, or in-home sales experience
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read construction scopes, estimates, and contracts
- Comfortable climbing ladders and inspecting roofs
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather
- Proficiency with CRM software and mobile technology
- Strong time management and self-motivation
Preferred
- Roofing sales or insurance restoration experience
- Supplement negotiation experience
- Knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating software
- OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
- HAAG certification
- Experience managing subcontractors and production schedules
