Job description

We have an immediate need for a Field Project Coordinator to support construction projects throughout the Salt Lake County, Utah area. This position requires effective communication, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills. This position will report to and work alongside the Project Manager and aid in daily project planning and reporting and travel throughout the Salt Lake County area. Company vehicle provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Project planning and coordination
  • Maintain and update construction schedules
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders and subcontractors as the schedule changes
  • Communicate daily construction activities to CM and PM
  • Provide regular updates to the team on the project status and progress
  • Update plan vs. actual performance tracking
  • Maintain accurate and current project documentation including progress reports, change orders, and project communications
  • Review daily paperwork for compliance
  • Track and validate work units and deliverables
  • Verify Field Change Order requests and paperwork is complete
  • Enter submittals and documentation in client systems
  • Escalate field issues
  • Use of broad problem-solving skills to solve problems on the fly
  • Ability to travel to different job sites, heavy travel
  • Heavy tracking and data entry
  • Overtime required during busy season

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience working in construction and/or utility industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite to include Excel and Word and other industry software knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires strong math aptitude as problem-solving skills are required

Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Valid Driver’s License required
