General Job Description:

The Project Coordinator at Atkinson Construction is responsible for assisting in the management and coordination of various construction projects, ensuring they progress smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:


Permit and Service Applications: Submit applications for development and building permits, and apply for temporary and permanent services (Gas, Power, Telus, Water, Sewer).

Documentation Management: Collaborate in the creation of project documents with Engineering, Estimating, and Design teams. Set up and provide project documents for Site Supervisors.

Insurance Coordination: Work with accounting/management to set up proper site insurances prior to project commencement.

Contractor Management: Assist in hiring Trade Contractors and reviewing shop drawings submitted by trades.

Project Progress Monitoring: Support in driving the project forward to meet deadlines, performance, and quality goals.

Change Order Management: Issue and manage change orders to trades and owners as required.

Material Coordination: Order materials and coordinate with Supervisors for onsite delivery.

Meeting Organization: Arrange meetings for project design and drawing details to foresee potential problems.

Site Supervision Support: Help in overseeing work done by Sub trades and ACL staff during site visits.

Financial Reporting: Assist in setting up project billing documents and updating progress claims.

Safety Compliance: Support ACL Safety in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining site records.

Communication and Coordination: Act as an Office contact, keep in touch with ACL Safety, update contact sheets, and maintain project binders.
